Treat your skin right

This sophisticated treatment can rejuvenate skin anywhere – be it the neck, checks, hands, arms, or décolletage. Skin revitalisation ensures the complete removal of skin issues, achieving beautiful, long-lasting results in a short space of time, and with minimal pain, quick recovery.

So how does Skin Revitalisation work?

Skin revitalisation uses pulses of laser light to penetrate deep into the sub-layers of the skin, and target the aging support structure. This triggers the natural healing process within the skin, getting rid of older damaged tissue and rebuilding by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.

The pulses occur at a rate of a trillionth of a second, and are able to break up pigment (melanin) in the skin that makes up age spots and freckles. A combination of high frequency and short background pulses encourages textural changes that have a smoothing effect, and triggers new mechanisms in the skin to produce collagen in a different and more effective way than traditional thermal treatments.

Preparation

At a prior consultation, a clinician will test your skin to determine the best procedure for rejuvenation. At this time the clinician may ask some questions about prior health and any medication you may be on. This is the best time to ask questions about anything that may concern you about the procedure.

Procedure

Skin revitalisation is an extremely quick and easy procedure, that can be completed in 20-30 minutes – making it perfect for a lunch break. During the treatment, you are given protective eyewear to protect your eyes from the laser light. Though there is a warming feeling during the treatment, a skin cooling machine or numbing cream can help soothe irritation. There may be some immediate but mild redness that should settle after a few hours.

Aftercare

After the treatment it is important to keep your skin protected from sun exposure by using sunblock, staying in the shade where possible, and avoiding tanning beds and products. After a period of recovery time (anywhere from a week upward) another session can be done. For optimum results, two-three treatments are recommended, though sometimes only one is required depending on your personal aim.

Cost

You can expect to pay around £200 per treatment, but many clinics offer deals if you purchase multiple sessions, or the option to spread out payments over a period of time, making it more affordable.
